A Piece of the Action Collectibles is proud to announce some further information on the MovieGeekFeed.com First Anniversary celebration featuring screenings of Star Wars Episode I and Fanboys on July 23, 2009!
We will be promoting the Comic, Toy, & Collectibles Swap Meet 6 at the event, a great opportunity to pick up your half-price admission flyers while you are there.
Planning to attend the Swap Meet? We will have an opportunity for one lucky attendee to receive three raffle tickets for the raffles held at the Swap Meet on July 25 and 26 in Addison. Every paid admission to the Swap Meet gets one raffle ticket and additional tickets will be available at the door for 50 cents each. You could get a few extra chances just by attending the MovieGeekFeed event!

The Uptown Theater (Grand Prairie) and Movie Geek Feed have a treat for you.! On Thursday, July 23rd, for the first time in the DFW area, you can see Fanboys the way it was meant to be seen – on the big-screen! This is all part of a celebration of two noteworthy events – the 1st Anniversary of MovieGeekFeed.com and the 10th Anniversary of Star Wars – Episode I: The Phantom Menace. What better way to celebrate than by seeing an all-digital screening of Episode I AND the movie that it helped inspire – Fanboys. Tickets for the event are $10.00 and one canned good per person when you arrive at the theater that goes to the Grand Prairie Food & Clothing Co-op.
The Uptown Theater is in downtown Grand Prairie, TX at 120 East Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050. Doors open at 6PM.
But there is more! A Piece of the Action Collectibles will be there selling lots of cool Star Wars and Star Trek collectibles! Dozens of Star Wars action figures as low as $4.00 each!
Electronic Star Trek ships like the Enterprise D (Next Generation) and electroinc toys (phaser, communicator, tricorder) will be available. 
We will also have specials on a couple of great statues - the Indiana Jones Mini Bust for just $40.00 (regularly $55) and the Alex Ross designed Superman Forever statue for just $65.00 (originally $200)! 
If you love Star Wars and/or Star Trek you won't want to miss this great opportunity. You don't have to attend the movie screening to shop the great collectibles on hand. A Piece of the Action will also be conducting an "Anakin Skywalker Whine-Off" Contest. Think you have what it takes to whine like the big-baby-would-be-Sith-lord? Well, you can prove it here and win prizes.Star Wars fans can come dressed in their favorite character costume. The 501st Star Garrison (LucasFilm licensed Star Wars Imperial costuming club) will be there, meeting and greeting people as they arrive. They will have a picture booth where attendees will be able to get photos taken with Star Wars characters, such as a Stormtrooper, Biker Trooper, Imperial Guards, Slave Leia, and more to be announced. They will also be conducting a contest and giving away the awards.
